Nearly 2 weeks and still going strong... sort of.
Just a quick update:
Despite a cut foot and a trip to the hospital plus some antibiotics for a possible kidney infection everything is still going well over here.
We should have some exciting and unexpected news when I get back but I'm not saying anything until things are more solid. Feel free to guess though!
Mum gets here for her visit in a week so we're both pretty excited and I've just found out that some of my family and friends from the community that I was working in over Christmas are coming into town on the boat next week for independence day celebrations!
Anywho... Back to drinking coconuts by the seafront now.
Just so you know...
Despite yesterday's plane dramas, I arrived in Port Vila at 7:30 last night and spent a very pleasant night snuggled up in bed with my gorgeous man (to find out just how grogeous he is see the photos in one of my earlier posts below)!
Everything is now right in the world. :o)
Is this an omen???
My flight has been delayed... twice.
I have been stuck in Brisbane airport since 9 this morning, and I can't get intouch with my boyfriend to tell him that my flight is arriving 5 hours late!!!
Remind me again why I'm travelling without my mobile!
Cross your fingers for me that I get out of here and reach Vila tonight, otherwise I'll be stuck in Brisbane until Wednesday when the next flight leaves.
But hey, what's another 5 hours on top of 3 months of not seeing each other?
The time has come... nearly.
I can't sleep.
In 10 hours I will be back in Vanuatu and in 1 hour I'm supposed to be leaving for the airport.
It's the middle of the night and I am wide awake!!!
Am I experiencing "the curse of the night shifts"? Or am I just too excited to sleep? Who knows!!
All I know is that today's the day that I get to see my sweet boy again!!!
Yay for me!!!!!
Vanuatu here I come!!!
Finally, after working a ridiculous number of night shifts, and writing assignments that would have been written earlier had I not been such an expert procrastinator, my return to Vanuatu is here... or will be in one and a half days!!!!!!!
A whole month in the sun with my man by my side... who could ask for more!!!
I promise I'll be a better blogger when I get back. :o)
